The Immune and Lymphatic Systems

As you learn about lymphedema and the lymphatic system, you often come across comments such as, "The immune works in close cooperation with the lymphatic system to maintain the health of the body." This is very true; however understanding the immune system is complex.

For excellent printed information on the body system, which was produced by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, go to Understanding the Immune System How it Works. This is a PDF that allows you can print your own copy of the generously illustrated booklet.

Another easy way to improve your basic understanding is to perform an Intenet seach on "Immune System." After you type this in the search box and click on it, find the heading "Video" and click on it.
