Musicians: The Life and Livelihood Study

My name is Sarah Schmalenberger, PhD. My research partners and I are seeking information from physiatrists, massage and physical therapists, nurses, oncologists, psychiatrists, and other medical/healthcare practitioners who have treated female musicians in some capacity either during or after their treatment for breast cancer.

Our research  "The Life and Livelihood Study" is an ongoing project to describe and understand the experience of women musicians in the United States who have been treated for breast cancer.  As we are currently publishing our data collected from women musician survivors who enrolled in the study, we are also launching the next phase of our inquiry to collect data from those who treat musician survivors.

  • If you are willing to share your experience with us, then click on the following link to answer (anonymously) a short survey of 20 questions:   http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LLSII

Feel free to contact me with any questions about the study.  We would also appreciate your sharing the above links with peers whom you believe could provide information about this research topic.

Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. If you are interested in participating, or learning about the results of the study to date, please contact me at the following address.
