LANA -- What is it?

LANA is the acronym for the Lymphology Association of North America. (An acronym is a word made up of the initials of of an organization.

LANA, which was created by the NLN, has established voluntary standards for qualified lymphedema therapists.

By being aware of these standards, you (as the consumer) can be a better informed when locating a therapist and in evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment you receive.

Although this organization is an excellent idea, many well qualified therapists have NOT taken the extra steps necessary to qualify with this organization.
