breast LE and mammograms

A few of us have been wondering if the breast compression involved in mammograms following lumpectomies (when nodes have been removed) can cause lymphedema in either breast or arm. Anybody know?

Hi Im silkie

I have primary lym[hedema and recently found a lump in my breast.
I had the mammogram and fine needle biopsy
I made it clear i was worried about the lymph luckily the consultant i saw was amazing knew all about milroys
and primary, explained everything
i felt confident to go ahead with the tests
Thank God they were clear
and i have had noproblems with the lymph
