I am concerned re flying and lymphedema. Has anyone had problems with 2 -3 hour flights? What about transatlantic flights?

Jewelie:

The National Lymphedema Network has a position paper on air travel – which you can access here: http://www.lymphnet.org/position.html

I flew from San Francisco to London and back – 10 or 11 hrs each way - after I had LE but before it was diagnosed. I didn’t notice the flight making things any worse – but I probably got off lucky on that. Now, I always get fully-suited-up in my compression gear before I fly, just to be on the safe side.

I wouldn’t let the LE prevent me from flying unless I had really bad experiences with it, but I do think it’s always important to take reasonable precautions.
