Hi everyone,

I personally think that lymphnotes.com has giving me the knowledge to further learn more than anyone has told me in over a year. Everyone is so helpful. When I need information there is always someone there to communicate with. It would be nice if we could get a annual event in a central spot for those that would like to get to know each other even more. Like a annual picnic or if someone has a better idea please voice this. Im' working on getting us a special day on the calendar that would recognize how serious this condition is. So trying, to get the president to give us one.

It is nice to have this website where we can share experiences, feelings, and information. Unless you happen to live near a support group coping with lymphedema is pretty darn lonely.

The National Lymphedema Network (NLN) does hold a nation wide session every year or so (next one is 2008). Those meetings are a great place to learn things, and meet people, but I agree with you that a picnic or gathering would be a lot more fun.

Until they develop a more perfect world, or better yet a cure for lymphedema, I'm glad we can share here!

Trish

P.S. The NLN sponsors National Lymphedema Day in March each year but I've never heard about events around to call attention to it.

Hi Trish,

So glad to hear from you. Thank you so much for your comments. I know about the day,but I would like a calendar day. I really do think this picnic idea would be a great thing as more of us would be comfortable seeing how many of us have this problem. It would put alot of those that are dealing with this problem at ease I think.

Caio,
