Cetaphil is a wonderful lotion and moisturizer for dry, sensitive skin that I swear by; its moisturizing abilities are far better than most lotions and without irritation. It is made specifically for sensitive skin and is used a lot among eczema patients, so I would think it would be great and perfectly fine with lymphedema. In terms of itching, you could also try a product with colloidal oatmeal- I think Aveeno has a good one. Both definitely disappear with a little rubbing into your skin.

Eucerin and Lomotil make a variety of lotions. You might experiment with the different types until you have determined which suits you best.

I have had WONDERFUL results with Aveeno. It has oatmeal for itching. It is unscented so that my appeal to you. You only need to put it on once a day and it will last. It's not the cheapest but worth every penney. since it lasts so long you don't need to use much.

Aveeno makes a nice oatmeal bath that is helpful too.

I'm a lotion junky! I know many of them.;)

Eucerin Calming Cream, works best for me. Rubs in and disappears in skin, takes care of itching real good.

Honestly it depends on how often your intending to use the ointment.

Personally I like D-base its not greasy and it absorbs into the skin pretty quickly without leaving it drying out again, which is something that the more common forms of moisturisers can do.

It depends on how much money your willing to spend, I would recommend not scrimping on this though as it can really improve your quality of life.

I use a good handlotion every night before bedtime on dry and "looks-like-about-to-crack" places on my LE-foot. My long time favourite is Biomain from Biotherm. Mustn't use greasy things just before putting on stocking, but I suppose that's why you are calling for a non-sticky.

;)Hello, I also have searched for relief and I found Keri oil -use in bath or I use after shower before I pat dry with towel. It has been working for me at least. and I just found Keri Renewal Serum for Dry Skin works great on my feet.... Good Luck to you....

I am still using Aveeno lotion. It's not greasy and lasts all day! It has no odor either. you might give it a try.

I used to use Aveeno until I developed a sensitivity to it... now I use St. Ives Vitamin E Hydrating Lotion. It's great, and it's inexpensive.

Here is a trick that I learned from my foot care specialist. We all know that you are not advised to apply lotion to skin before putting on compression garments. Even though I apply lotion at night before wrapping legs with comprilan bandages, my feet and ankles can be dry in the morning. I use a small amount of a light style, non greasy lotion on my feet and ankles while I am doing manual lymph drainage. After I am done, I use baby wipes on feet and ankles. This softens skin and removes residue. Afterward, I pat dry with a towel to be sure skin is dry. Then apply compression garments. The skin on my feet and around my swollen toes has been in much better condition since I have been doing this. Just be sure if you try this, use a light lotion. The baby wipes won't remove the residue from heavier lotions.

Why are you not supposed to apply lotion before putting on compression garmets? I am curious, as I've never heard that before. I typically apply lotion about ten minutes before wrapping my legs, so it has time to soak in.

The lotion deteriorates the fibers of the compression garment.

Ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh..... that never occurred to me. Good information to know. I will alter my own routine immediately. Compression garmets are expensive to begin with... no need to wear them out prematurely. :)
