View Full Version : Bacterial Skin Infections
Mar 5, 2011, 11:36 AM
I developed a bacterial skin infection in both my lower legs and don't know how I got it. I keep my legs very clean and would like to know how this happens? I am on 800mg of Bactrim plus I was in the ER receiving IV antibiotics. I'm sort of confused as to how one contracts a skin infection. Any insight or links would be helpful. Thanks.
I wish I had a great answer for you about your problem with infections in your legs. There are many causes-- and a variety of answers -- not of which are helpful.
The best answer right now are to follow the standard recommendations. Walk as much as possible -- that stimulates the flow of lymph and helps to keep it moving -- swimming is good oo.
If you have a weight problem, try to keep you weight down, do your massage, use a good lotion to take good care of your skin -- and at the first time of a sign, see your doctor to determine if you need antibiotics.
Best wishes for feeling much better, very soon!
Ann, from Lymph Notes.
