debulking

Glossary definition--

debulking
The surgical removal of the excess skin and subcutaneous tissue are removed from a seriously enlarged, stage 3 lymphedema affected limb. Since this procedure does not improve the lymph flow in the affected area, it is no longer comonly performed.
