peripheral neuropathy

Glossary definition--

peripheral neuropathy
Damage to the nerves of the extremities (arms and hands or feet and legs) that is caused by diseases such as diabetes, chemotherapy, or nerve damage due to an injury. The symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are usually experienced first as tingling and numbness in the hands or feet. See Diabetes and Lymphedema.
