Werkgroep Lymfoedeem, which is part of the Dutch Breast Cancer Association, is a support group for those with lymphedema with these goals.

• To use our experience gained from aiding breast cancer patients to support those with lymphedema.
• To prevent these women from feeling alone and misunderstood.
• To bring the problems of lymphedema to the attention of physicians, nurses, and therapists so they will be more understanding.
• Through patient advocacy so that better benefits for therapy and compression garments are available for these individuals.
