At the Lymphedema Clinic, of the Kitty DeGree Breast Health Center, we offer Complete Decongestive Therapy for the treatment of lymphedema of both the upper and lower extremities. This treatment, which consists of three major components, is provided by our highly qualified Lymphedema Therapists.

• Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)is a gentle massage-like treatment which helps to reroute the lymph flow around the blocked areas into more centrally located lymph vessels that drain into the venous system.
• Compression Therapy, which involves the use of either bandages or compression garments,is applied between treatments to prevent the the excess lymph from reaccumulating excess lymph.
• Decongestive exercises are performed under compression to increase the effectiveness of the joint and muscle pumps.
