The lymphedema program of the Dominican Rehabilitation Services provides outpatient and home health treatment programs plus inpatient consultations.

The specific outpatient services include:

  • CDT (MLD, skin care education, exercise programs, compression bandaging)
  • Aquatic therapy
  • Risk reduction education and training
  • Specialized anti-fibrotic treatment with the use of low level laser, manual therapy and sound assisted soft tissue mobilization.
  • Consultation and custom design of elastic, rigid and quilted compression garments
  • Consultation and trial with 4, 8, 24 and 32 chamber pneumatic compression systems

The Lymphedema Education and Support Group meets at the Katz Cancer Resource Center, 1555 Soquel Dr. Santa Cruz, CA 95065. These meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6-8 pm. For more information contact Nancy Gonzales-Caro at 831-345-9107.
