Lymphatic Care Specialists Training Programsas presented by Carmen Thompson, B.S., LPTA, CMT, CLT-LANA, were recognized by the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) in 2010 as an approved provider of training and certification programs in MLD/CDP therapy.

This is a 140 hour comprehensive program. Classes are offered nationwide; however students taking classes in Blacksburg, VA have the additional advantage of having hands-on labs in our lymphedema treatment center. There therapists can work on actual patients in our inpatient, and outpatient, settings.

Carmen looks forward to the continued development of her programs to educate and train medical professionals in order that they might better help people with lymphatic disorders. In our education program, we provide a range of continuing education classes for health-care professionals from introductory courses in lymphatic therapy to full MLD/CDP certification programs. We also offer educational DVD’s for patients and therapists.
