At Klose Training & Consulting, LLC our goal is to provide the highest quality training for lymphedema therapists in keeping with the LANA standards.
Classroom Training: The original classroom course format provided 135 hours of classroom and hands-on training that usually requires 12 days with the student in residence.
Combination Training: By taking advantage of the latest online teaching technology, those who want to become a professional lymphedema therapist, and who have the appropriate background education, can take advantage of having a portion of the training available as online learning.
These courses provide the necessary information and interaction with an instruction via that allows provides students receive content online and to receive feedback from an instructor. The allows the student to acquire this part of the course without leaving home or missing work.
The hands-on training, such as bandaging and massage, require a week of residential coursework with an experienced instructor.
These classes are taught in a classroom and students learn skills such as massage and bandage by working with a teacher, and other students, in a classroom setting that provides appropriate training in these skills.
To enable the stuent to become a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT), he or she must successfully have completed both portions of the courses and have passed the NLN exams.
In recognition that patients also need training too, a new program which consists of a series a series of educational videos for patients. These courses do not qualify these patients to be therapists; however, they do better prepare the patient to meet the challenges of living with lymphedema.
